Engineering Students in Army Challenge

T wo teams of Aeronautical and Automotive students have won a top ten place in the 2010 Army Engineering Challenge Day. Competing against colleges from across the south of England, both teams showed a fine competitive spirit, especially during the Paintball Close Quarter Battle test.

One of the teams achieved the fastest time of the day when recovering a Land Rover from a lake. Other challenges included rewiring a ‘bomb damaged’ control tower and getting ‘explosives’ across a ravine as quickly and as carefully as possible.

As well as learning more about the career paths open in the British Army, the students experienced an excellent personal development and team building day.
