Adult Education Art Exhibition
O
ver fifty adult art students will present a grand exhibition of drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and stained glass at Heene Gallery in Worthing next week.
The artists have all been attending adult education classes at Northbrook College. The exhibition will show what can be achieved on a part-time, day or evening course.
“The range of artwork produced this year by students is very impressive,” says tutor Maggie Tredwell. “We feel it is important that they have a chance to exhibit this work. This exhibition will show how our courses cater for all abilities. Whatever your starting point, complete beginner or experienced artist, our courses are designed to encourage and support you in a friendly environment. Some of our students have returned year after year.”
Tutors from the college - all local professional artists and designers – will be on hand during the exhibition to explain more about the new range of autumn courses. Students will also be present and much of their work will be for sale.
“This exhibition will give the people of Worthing and the surrounding area an opportunity to see how they can develop their creative side,” says Maggie. “It’s a chance to learn new skills and meet new people.”
The event takes place at Heene Gallery on Heene Road, Worthing, from Saturday 25 th until Monday 27th July between 10am and 5pm. Entry is free and refreshments will be available.
