Support The Magnificent Students and the Bank Manager's Flying Machine

students who are building the aircraft A erospace Engineering students are fulfilling every student’s dream by chucking a bank manager off Worthing Pier! On a more serious note, the students are supporting The Children’s Medical Research Charity, Sparks, by building an entry for the International Birdman competition in August.

Ann Marie, Sparks Community Fundraiser, approached the College after she convinced Roy Thompson, a local banker, to jump off the pier to raise money and awareness for the charity. Tony Hedger, of A&T Business Associates, agreed to sponsor the event as both he and Roy have children who suffer with very bad eczema. At present, Sparks is funding research at Sussex University into why some children suffer with eczema.

National Diploma students Kirsty Frampton, Adam Scrase, Jack Langridge, Lewis Gray and Lasitha Kanishka Doolwela have fearlesslydecided to go for the big prize and the furthest distance. They are planning a magnificent flying machine that will hopefully exceed the 100 metre distance.
