These multi-disciplinary design programmes have an underlying inter-relationship. Working within our friendly environment of comprehensive, well equipped specialist workshops and studio spaces, you will work with specialist staff who are all practising designers and makers. They will support you through taught sessions and 1:1 tutorials to realise your potential and ambitions within your chosen specialism. The aim is to develop flexible, transferable designing and making skills together with the commercial awareness that is central to success within a global economy.
At Northbrook, all students have access to the latest PCs and Mac computers with industry standard software. We also have an extensive specialist Art and Design Library of books, periodicals, DVDs and cuttings to support your studies.
During the two year duration of these courses, there will be a programme of study visits to galleries, museums and studios at home and abroad.
On the successful completion of the Foundation Degree programme, students may choose to progress onto a one-year BA (Honours) top up Degree course, become a designer-maker or gain employment within the creative industries.
