Community Relations Policy
Northbrook College considers itself at the heart of the local community and our developing Community Relations strategy reflects this continuing commitment.
In addition to serving the local community with courses, qualifications and learning activities for which we are widely known and appreciated, we engage in other ways:
- Partnership working aimed at widening participation and neighbourhood learning
- Staff and student volunteering activity including fund raising
- Community based research projects and assignments
We aspire to build sustainable relationships with the community and voluntary sector and be responsive to their needs. Where practical we will use our expertise and resources to support our community partners. Equally, we believe that the community offers a rich learning resource for our students and will draw on the expertise of our partners to support student learning and curriculum enrichment.
In the future we will seek out opportunities for increasing dialogue and collaboration with the community and voluntary sector and together add value to the health, wealth and well being of our neighbourhoods.
