The Course
These courses aim to provide students with the technical levels of competence to allow them to progress to a variety of Degree courses and careers in today's ever changing engineering environment. The Mechanical course looks at the principles which underpin the design and operation of mechanical engineering systems, including strength of materials, power transmission and dynamics and Computer Aided Design. The Manufacturing course looks at the principles, methodologies and techniques that are used in process planning and scheduling and in-depth study of Computer Aided Manufacture and Computer Control of Machine Tools.
