Course content:
A two year full time course in which students receive techniques training from core tutors and industry professionals, and apply them to live performance and event projects. Design and research skills enhance the application of these techniques, and industrial placements contribute to students’ confidence and ability to find work upon graduation.
Techniques include period hair styling, make up and wig dressing, editorial hair and make up styling, theatre, film and television hair and make up, prosthetic applications, body painting and photographic styling.
The course is centered in fully equipped dedicated studios, and students collaborate with their peers in production and performance from the theatre department as well as students from fashion and media courses in the college.

Progression:
Students’ progression opportunities will include going straight into Industry as freelance make up artist, wig assistant in theatre productions, assistant make up artist in film and television, assistant make up artist for promotional video productions, a retail make up artist, or progress to the B.A (Hons) Top-up here at Northbrook.
