Performing Arts student lands roles in TV and film at age 17

A 17 year-old Performing Arts student has landed a leading TV role, a part in a major film and is the star of a local musical. Luke Newton is in The Cut, a fast-paced daily BBC online drama which is broadcast on BBC2 on Saturdays at noon.

He is also an extra in the new film of Brighton Rock, due to be released in February ans is one of the stars of City Youth’s West Side Story at Brighton’s Sallis Benney Theatre in March.

Luke said, “I love acting and singing and I would love a career as an actor.”
