Theatre Production Arts - Level 2
Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grade D or above (including English) or a relevant Level 1 qualification with a Merit profile and tutor recommendation. You will be invited to show relevant examples of your work at interview.
(Students with at least 4 GCSEs at A* to C could start on the Level 3 course instead.)
About this course
The Production course builds on the Northbrook Theatre department's high reputation for excellence in technical theatre, stage management, theatre design and design crafts. Full production experience on a range of public shows in The Northbrook Theatre makes this course unique in the region. Professional resources include wardrobe, make-up and prop studios, paint gallery, scenic workshops and up-to-the-minute technical equipment offered through partnership with Stage Electrics.
Level 2 includes:
- Lighting and sound
- Production process
- Performing arts business
- Stage design and presentation
Progression/Career
After 1 year, you can achieve a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Production Arts. This means you can apply for one of our Level 3 courses.
