Textile Winner
T extile Design Degree student, Philippa Lucas, has won third prize in the regional heat of the annual SDC Colour Design competition. The competition is entered by students from universities around the country. The brief set wasto demonstrate creative, imaginative and original colour in textiles.
Philippa attended the judging event in London and was awarded a cheque for £50. SDC (the Society of Dyers and Colourists) runs student competitions every year.
Philippa’s tutor, Tom Embleton, said “We are very pleased with Philippa’s achievement. This is the first time we have entered this international colour competition and Philippa has done us very proud.”
