A Bright Idea

T he Northbrook Theatre has been putting on quite a show with the help of two expert lighting companies, Stage Electrics and Martin Professional.

Stage Electrics, with the help of lighting manufacturer Martin Professional, supplied Northbrook College with over half a million pounds worth of state-of-the-art equipment for use in the theatre. The equipment included the brand new MAC III Profile, MAC 301 Wash LED moving heads – as well as LED screens and an ETC ION control desk.

Students were given training and spent a week working with the high tech equipment. The equipment was also put to good use by music students, who held gigs in the theatre throughout the week.

Stage Electrics have an extensive portfolio of sound and lighting equipment for both indoor and outdoor, theatres, live event production, services to television broadcasting, ice rinks and much more.Business Development Manager, Paul Roughton, who is an ex Northbrook theatre student, initiated the project.

Martin Professional, a world leader in the creation of dynamic lighting solutions, supplied some lighting equipment and a member of staff to train the students throughout the week.

With all the doom and gloom at the moment, Northbrook welcomes the incredible support from these industry professionals.
